Chosen Home (2025)

A slightly clumsy but warm-hearted man, Hatano Genichi, falls in love with Sakuta Saku, a junior high school teacher 12 years his junior. Cool-headed and openly gay, Saku insists, “I don’t need love. My life is still completely in the trial-and-error stage.” But Genichi counters with a proposal: “Then… how about we buy a house together? In both our names. That way, breaking up would be a real pain in the neck.” Just then, a 15-year-old girl, Kusunoki Hotaru, appears before them and declares: “I’ll buy you. For 30 million yen. For the next six months, until I graduate junior high, pretend to be my parents.”
